After your consent, AI translation and speech generation use LingoUnion’s secure gateway and OpenAI under standard API retention. Speaking practice uses Apple speech recognition; microphone recordings are not sent to OpenAI.
You control AI requests
The app shows a clear notice before sending a chosen sentence, language, and voice through LingoUnion’s gateway to OpenAI. You can decline or withdraw consent.
Learning records stay on this iPhone
Your sentences, targets, progress, and review state are stored on the device where they were created.
Practice recordings stay out of the AI service
Speech-recognition audio and transcripts are not sent to LingoUnion’s gateway or OpenAI. Learning history is not uploaded for AI generation.
You can delete your learning data
The app provides controls to delete individual sentences or all learning records stored by LingoUnion on the current iPhone.
